When We Are Closed

For urgent advice and treatment when our practice is closed, call The Out Of Hours Service on 111.

• Call NHS 111 Wales for free expert NHS health advice and information 24 hours a day (calls charged at local rates). Or log onto https://111.wales.nhs.uk/
• Your local pharmacist will also be able to give you free health advice and you don’t need an appointment. Many pharmacies operate extended hours on a rota basis. For details call NHS Direct on 0845 4647.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Our telephone lines are in High demand early in the mornings.

Here are some ways you can help us to help you.

• Consider if your call is Urgent (routine queries can be made later in the day)- our telephone lines are available until 6.30pm
• Use our online services via NHS Wales app to book routine GP appointments and request repeat prescriptions.
• Contact or visit your local Pharmacy for all your common ailments and Minor illnesses.
• Keep your call brief and to the point, to help free up the telephone lines for others that need urgent care.
